ETHICS PROGRAM
Historically,
the health care industry has been focused on providing medical
care to a wide demographic range. With enormous strides in
the development of treatments as well as a
dvances in technology, the health care
system has expanded exponentially.
Unfortunately, many unscrupulous individuals have entered the
industry to take advantage of vulnerabilities identified within
the system. Accounting for 15% of the Gross Domestic Product,
the health care industry has seen a dramatic increase in fraud
and abuse, which, in turn, has increased the need for numerous
and complicated regulations and requirements.
The mission of
the Provider Ethics Program (PEP) is to provide ethics training
on relevant issues for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
program
medical providers. As part of the program, fraud and abuse
issues from a variety of disciplines are addressed. The program also covers
a number of approaches to
fostering ethical and trusting relationships within the
industry. Please contact the firm to schedule your
PEP talk.
